Subject: ESM Electronic Service Program (ESP) Version 1.6A Software Release

Waukesha is pleased to announce that a new version of ESP software has been released. The new software is Windows XP compatible and supports COM ports beyond COM 1-4. It also contains updates to APG1000 panels, includes APG2000 & 3000 panels and the VHP ESM manual.

A key feature of this version is the automatic transport to the factory of essential information already logged by ESM. This includes ESM part and serial numbers, fault information and other indicators of engine performance. A better understanding of how our products are used will enable Waukesha to develp more relevant new product options and quickly identify value-added improvements to our existing products.

The latest version of the software is backward compatible so it can replace any earlier version of the software. Waukesha recommends that all computers that interface with ESM be upgraded to the latest software to ensure compatibility with any ECU.

The ESP software can be downloaded using WEDlink (www.wedlink.net) by clicking on the "Producrs" link, then the "Engine Controls" link and then the "ESM" link on the left-hand side of the screen or by calling your local WPI office.

The software is also available on a CD with a hard copy of the manual through Service Parts. It can be obtained by ordering A740045C for the assembly of the CD along with the current VHP ESM manual and A740045D for the assembly of the CD and the current APG1000 ESM manual.
